Gatsby Student Arts Support Fund
Need funding for your student-created arts projects? Want to host or produce a visual arts exhibition? Write and edit a literary publication? Collaborate across disciplines to stage a theater production? Learn how to apply for a Gatsby Student Arts Support Fund Grant, administered by the Arts Initiative at Columbia University.
Each semester, the Arts Initiative funds student arts projects (either as individuals or Columbia-recognized student groups) through the Gatsby Student Arts Support Fund. Columbia students share their arts and cultural talents with the Columbia community. And every year, the Arts Initiative helps students bring their projects to life.
Past projects have included concerts, dance performances, literary publications, musical theater, photography exhibits, and visual arts events, among many others. We actively seek students and groups who think outside the box, collaborate across disciplines, and reach all Columbians with their creativity. Click here to see a slideshow of recent projects.
Thank you to those who applied in fall semester. The Arts Initiative will hold an information session Friday, February 5 at 2PM in 602 Hamilton Hall. New applicants are strongly encouraged to attend. The spring 2016 deadline is Friday, February 26.
The application is available in PDF format. The sample budget, which follows the required template, is available as an excel spreadsheet.
