Arts Initiative Student Arts Grants
Need funding for your student-created arts projects? Want to host or produce a visual arts exhibition? Write and edit a literary publication? Collaborate across disciplines to stage a theater production?
Each semester, the Arts Initiative administers Student Arts Grants (commonly known as the Gatsby Grants) to help fund non-curricular student arts projects that are accessible to the Columbia community.
Past projects have included concerts, dance performances, literary publications, musical theater, photography exhibits, and visual arts events, among many others. Click here to see a slideshow of recent projects.
University-recognized students groups, non-recognized groups, and individual Columbia students are eligible to apply. Applications are reviewed once per semester per group/individual applicant.
Applications for spring 2017 projects will be accepted from January 17, 2017 to March 3, 2017, and must be submitted at least three weeks before the project's event date.
We will hold an information session on Friday, February 3 at 2 PM in Hamilton Hall 503. Join us to learn more about the process and what makes a strong application.
