CU Players Presents: Middletown

Columbia University Players Present "Middletown," by Will Eno. Directed by Bernadette Bridges. Produced by Sam Grubner and Sean Davey.

“Middletown. Population: stable; Elevation: same. The main street is called Main Street. The side streets are named after trees.” Middletown is a “dramedy” that tells the story of an American “everytown” and its inhabitants. A newcomer, Mrs. Swanson, comes to town and forms a connection with John Dodge, another town resident. When John Dodge attempts to commit suicide and, eventually, dies in the hospital, the entire town must face what it means to live, to be reborn, to love, to mourn, and to have an identity.

This event is supported in part by the Arts Initiative.
