Arts Administration Intern

Working Time
Part Time

Internships at Art21 offer individuals a unique opportunity to learn about contemporary art, documentary video production, public programs, and arts administration. Interns are an important part of the Art21 office community and are given exposure to all aspects of the organization.

Art21’s Arts Administration intern will have the opportunity to work closely with the Executive Director and Curatorial Assistant on curatorial research projects, as well as general administrative work for the organization. Intern will aid in artist research and assembly of materials on Art21 artists. In additional to research projects, interns will assist in overall the overall functioning of the organization, through administrative work on public programs, preparation for board meetings, research and communications around film licensing opportunities, and general office administration.

Applicants should have a high attention to detail and be organized, motivated, and self-directed. Strong writing and research skills are helpful.

For their participation, Art21 offers a small stipend. Interns are required to commit at least two days every week. Internships for the spring 2018 semester will run from January 22 to May 11. The deadline to apply is Tuesday, December 19.
