A&O is currently seeking enthusiastic and media-savvy applicants for an Internship. Strong research and communication skills, ability to prioritize to meet shifting deadlines, and experience using Excel/Google Sheets are critical. The Intern will assist with administrative duties for several accounts under the direction of the Account Manager. The internship is split between working from home and from our office space; therefore, the ideal applicant is able to work with limited supervision and is comfortable asking questions.


Conduct research on national media contacts in the following art, culture, and entertainment
Read, track, and clip relevant press in newspapers and websites
Database entry and organization
Prepare press materials for journalists
Conduct extensive media research
Create and organize press lists
Draft correspondence under the direction of the Account Manager
Social media content creation
Event calendar posting


Must be in pursuit of or possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year undergraduate institution. Coursework in communications, media studies, or journalism is preferred but not required.
A love of research and basic knowledge of press outlets
Excellent organizational skills; strong attention to detail
Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to work under tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure
Must be comfortable working collaboratively and independently
Experience in press relations preferred but not required
