The Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) seeks an energetic intern to join the Membership team to assist in all administrative and cultivation efforts. This is an exciting opportunity to be an active and valued member of a non-profit development department.
 

In conjunction with the Director of Membership, and working in conjunction with the Database Manager, the Membership Intern’s responsibilities include:

     Ÿ  Help with monthly membership renewals and cultivation mailings

     Ÿ  Provide assistance with phone membership campaigns

     Ÿ  Perform research on member prospects to maximize fundraising efforts

     Ÿ  Planning and coordination of all member openings and off-site events

     Ÿ  Create content for member eNews

     Ÿ  Update web content for member events

     Ÿ  Acknowledgment mailings

     Ÿ  Hardcopy evite mailing for each event

     Ÿ  Act as customer service representative for member inquiries

     Ÿ  Provide general administrative support as needed

Ideal candidates:

     Ÿ Graduate or undergraduate student in Museum Studies, Art History, Arts Administration,or related fields

     Ÿ  Have strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task

     Ÿ  Strong research capabilities

     Ÿ  Possess knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

     Ÿ  Possess excellent written and oral communication skills

     Ÿ  Interest in the visual arts and fundraising

     Ÿ  Cheerful and friendly

Commitment:

Internships are unpaid. Time commitment is flexible, with some evenings required; a minimum of three days per week is preferred.
