David Zwirner Gallery is looking for a full-time, in-house, photographer who will work within the photography department to create and maintain the gallery’s photo documentation of artworks and exhibitions for the purpose of archive, marketing, sales, publications, and website. The successful candidate is able to work diligently and effectively in a fast-paced environment with a keen attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Photographing a high volume of artworks and gallery exhibitions
- Photographing off-site at artist studios and art fairs as needed
- Overseeing post-production work on all images including retouching and color-correction, working with freelance retouchers as needed
- Occasionally photographing gallery events and exhibition openings
- Maintaining upkeep of photography studio and equipment

- BA or BFA in Photography preferred
- 2-3 years related work experience. Museum, gallery, or artist studio experience strongly preferred
- High proficiency with Hasselblad DSLR cameras, ProFoto lighting, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Extremely organized with a critical eye and attention to detail
- Works well both independently as well as a team member
- Comfortable working directly with artists and artist estates
- Able to work occasional weekends or before/after gallery hours as needed

Position hours are Monday-Friday, 10am to 6pm. Candidate will occasionally need to work additional hours. Only qualified candidates will be contacted. Absolutely no calls or walk-ins please.
