The Bronx Children's Museum is seeking talented educators and teaching artists to guide children through our mobile exhibit "Waters On the Go!". The exhibit is housed in the Bronx Children's Museum bus that travels to schools, community organizations and shelters within the South Bronx.Museum Guides travel to these locations and guide children between the ages of 4-9 years old to learn about the natural environment of the Bronx through hands-on, inquiry-based science and arts activities.


Ideal applicants should: -Possess a college degree (minimum A.A.)-Have a background in and a passion for children, the arts, and/or environmental education-Live in the Bronx

Pass a background check
Bilingual a plus (Spanish preferred)


This work is part time and scheduling is flexible. Guides typically work 10-15 hours/week during the season. The hourly rate is $18/hour. Guides must be able to work weekends as well as weekdays. If hired, Guides must be available for a four-day training March 26-29. Work begins April 1st and runs through September, with the possibility of continuing into the fall and winter seasons.


Qualified candidates meeting all criteria listed above should submit their resume with MUSEUM GUIDE. All submissions are due by Wednesday, February 28th. Any candidates not meeting the required criteria will be eliminated from the selection process.
