Support the Arts Initiative

The Arts Initiative is a visionary effort to make the arts a vital part of every student’s experience, from budding engineers, journalists, and doctors to aspiring performers, writers, and architects. In realizing President Lee Bollinger’s forward-thinking idea, Columbia’s Arts Initiative stands as the first University-wide undertaking of this kind, and its success in infusing the arts into campus life has been widely emulated. Under the Arts Initiative’s umbrella, Columbia students actively create inventive arts projects and attend cultural events across the breadth of the New York City artistic landscape, benefiting from ticket subsidies, a vibrant and ever-improving arts website, and more.

Today, the Arts Initiative is integral to the fabric of campus life. Whether coordinating tours for students at world-renowned museums, presenting conversations with Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winning artists, or convening student arts leaders for informal conversations about on-campus performances, the Arts Initiative’s impact and potential continue to grow. Help support the Arts Initiative and its future impact.
