Bury Me in My Leggings, a play by Scarlett McCarthy

It’s June 2007. Paris Hilton is still in jail and the iPhone launches in just a few days. At the mall, employees at an upscale athleisure store find out what happens when your work bestie turns out to be a total murderer.

Estimated run time: 45 min

Scarlett Grace McCarthy is a Los Angeles-bred and Brooklyn-based playwright. Her plays include YOU ARE GLOWING (Echo Theater Company, NYU), BURY ME IN MY LEGGINGS, GIRLS TO THE FRONT (semifinalist for the Fresh Ground Pepper PlayLab and Berkeley Rep. Ground floor), and Fantomina (Dixon Place, NYU). Her monologue “Consultation” was commissioned by the Echo Theater Company for a collection of monologues aimed at sharing the work of emerging writers with young people. She is a graduate of NYU, where she studied Dramatic Writing and Gender and Sexuality Studies.
