Want to access the heartbeat of New York City’s arts and cultural scene at a discounted price? In addition to our diverse programming, the Arts Initiative promotes discounts for students, faculty, and staff at some of the city’s leading venues. Engage the cultural riches of New York, visit an Arts Initiative Museum partner, attend a Broadway show, or take yourself to the latest cinematic feature.

Passport to Museums (students)

Current undergraduate and graduate students can explore New York City through Passport to Museums. With your student CUID and semester validation sticker you can visit over 30 museums that generously provide Columbia students with free admission. From Museum Mile in Manhattan to sculpture gardens in Queens, your valid student CUID is your "passport" to check out these amazing cultural destinations.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art and The Cloisters (students and faculty)

In addition to their participation in Passport to Museums, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Cloisters also provide free admission to Columbia University faculty who present a current CUID at the admission desk. Free admission is available only to the faculty member (does not extend to family members or guests).

El Museo del Barrio (students, faculty, and staff)

As a current Columbia University student, faculty, or staff member, you and a guest will receive free admission to the galleries when you present your valid CUID at El Museo.

Discounted Movie Vouchers (students, faculty, and staff)

The Ticket and Information Center (TIC) sells discounted movie vouchers to the leading movie chains in New York City, including AMC, City Cinemas/Angelika Film Center, and Clearview Cinemas. These discount vouchers are available for purchase in person at the TIC window by students, faculty, and staff with a CUID. Prices range from $9.25 to $11.00.

Givenik (students, faculty, and staff)

Givenik is an exciting way to get discounted tickets, premium seats and group rates to Broadway and Off-Broadway shows AND support the Arts Initiative – 5% of the ticket price goes to support our programming.
