Musée, a photography magazine and digital publication, seeks a hard-working, detail-oriented person to be the next Graphic Design intern. Our visually driven magazine is dedicated to publishing extensive, exclusive interviews with the most prolific and well known contemporary fine art photographers and artists.

Interns help develop new content, manage and grow social media communities, cover art related events weekly, and plan local events. You will be in contact daily with international photographers, museum curators, festival directors, journalists, contributing writers, photo editors, educators, videographers and visual storytellers. Working directly with the editor-in-chief and the editorial team, you will help manage all aspects of the magazine.

You must have excellent English writing and editing skills, fluency with social media, and be passionate about photography and the visual arts. Knowledge of photo and video editing programs is a plus.

This is an ideal position for a current student or recent graduate in journalism, communications, marketing, photography or media. This internship requires a commitment of 24 hours per week, for a minimum of 4 months. You will gain valuable experience and become part of a very fun and influential international network of photographers and the art world.

Responsibilities:

Design shareable graphics, sourced photos, banners, backgrounds, etc. - Design of promotional poster for different social media platforms. - Design of weekly newsletters on constant contact. - Develop and apply graphic design skills to an email marketing campaign - Design business cards, brochures - Update existing marketing materials -High InDesign and publishing skills. (Tablet and mobile (IOS/DPS)) -Ability to use iPad slideshows, stacking pages, IOS/DPS/UI indesign coding. -Good with typography, EXCELLENT attention to detail. -Must know how to use ePub and or folio builder. Also must have some knowledge of code.

 

Requirements:

- Excellent sense of layout and design.

- Familiarity with Newsletter

- Must have a great eye for clean design and strong typographic skills.

- Eager to learn, hands-on, full of ideas, creative and attention to details.

- Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.

- Ability to work independently, to follow directions and to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Willingness to learn, self-motivated and diligent worker who takes pride in her/his work.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Must have a strong and honest work ethic.

- Enthusiast, versatile, with an easy-going attitude and an energetic personality.

- Previous internship experience preferred.

- Motion graphic skills is a bonus.
