The Studio Museum offers internships in conjunction with the academic calendar year. Applications are currently open for the Spring 2019 season, which runs from January 28, 2019, until May 3, 2019. The following internships are available the Spring 2019 season: Curatorial, Director’s Office, Education, and Public Programs & Community Engagement. The application form and a full description of each position can be found below. Please note that we allow applicants to select first and second choices for positions they would like to be considered for.

The Museum’s Internship Program provides college undergraduates, graduate students, and recent graduates with a wide range of experiences designed to provide insight into the daily workings of a professional museum environment. In addition to working on meaningful, engaging projects with Museum staff, interns engage in a series of meetings, workshops, public programs, and offsite visits to arts and cultural institutions.

Interns are required to commit a minimum of 20 hours a week during the work week. Only individuals authorized to work for the Museum in the United States will be accepted into the internship program. The Museum will consider expressions of interest in providing volunteer services to the Museum from non-work authorized individuals.
