Student Arts Grants

Each semester, the Arts Initiative awards grants to help students create non-curricular arts projects and share their artistic talents with the Columbia community.

Past projects have included concerts, cultural showcases, dance performances, literary publications, theater, and visual arts events, among many others. Click here to see a slideshow of recent projects. Columbia University-recognized students groups, unrecognized groups, and individual students are eligible to apply. Applications are reviewed once per semester per group/individual.

Applications for fall 2018 projects must be submitted at least 3 weeks before the event date or by the final deadline of Friday, October 19. Email your completed application and project budget form to:
