The works of Johann Sebastian Bach have inspired millions – but what if the music we know and love was incomplete? Cellist Juliana Soltis returns to the Library for the Performing Arts to celebrate the Baroque master's birthday with a performance that upends more than 200 years of tradition in reviving the long-lost practice of improvisation in Bach's beloved cello suites.
Featuring the rarely-heard five-string violoncello piccolo, this is Bach's music as it has waited centuries to be heard.
