Event Details
Poet, singer, and songwriter Jamila Woods is an award-winning and internationally touring artist from the south side of Chicago. She has performed her original music on NPR’s Tiny Desk concerts, CBS Mornings, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and other major stages.
In this free performance at the Brooklyn Museum, audiences will discover a boundary-blurring amalgam of poetry and song that “makes you wish all singers were poets,” according to cultural critic and The New Yorker staff writer Doreen St. Felix.
