Join us for a night of dancing, fashion, and art making in celebration of student fashion designers and The Costume Institute exhibitions In America: A Lexicon of Fashion and In America: An Anthology of Fashion.

This event is open to currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students only. Space is limited and advance registration is required.

FAQs

Are there accommodations available for students with disabilities?

Yes. We welcome all graduate and undergraduate students. Please let us know when you register what type of accommodation you need. We request as much notice as possible.

Will there be food and drinks? Will I need to bring cash to buy anything?

We will have small bites and soft drinks. Everything is free!

I just graduated or will be graduating in May! Can I still come?

Congratulations! Yes, if you‘ve graduated this year please join us. Bring your Fall 2021 or Spring 2022 student ID. 

If I can’t make it, can I vote for my favorite design online?

Voting will only take place in person on the night of the event.

What should I wear to College Night?

Dress to impress! College Night: In America is a night for students to express their creativity and sense of style, whatever that means to you!

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

There are no age requirements, however, you’ll need to bring your current undergraduate or graduate student ID to be admitted.  Please note that this event is only open to currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students, or those who have graduated within 6 months. You will also need to show proof of vaccination against COVID-19. Please see the event page on The Met’s website for all details.

What can I bring into the event?

You may bring a small bag or backpack but no food items or drinks. We recommend traveling light because our coat checks will be closed. Also note that Security will be checking bags at the entrance.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You do not need to bring a printed ticket if you have the Eventbrite QR code on your phone.  

Can I bring my friends?

Of course, if they are also students!  Forward this link to your friends and ask them to register on Eventbrite.
