About The Performance

At the heart of the Obie Award-winning musical No Place to Go and the Lortel Award-nominated The Outer Space, you’ll find playwright and frontman Ethan Lipton with his fabulous three-piece Orchestra, featuring Eben Levy on guitar, Ian Riggs on bass, and Vito Dieterle on sax. The quartet, deemed NYC’s “Best Lounge Act” by New York Magazine, have been playing quirky, lyric-forward, cabaret folk-pop with a jazz twist for over two decades. The band has appeared at Celebrate Brooklyn, MASS MOCA, Pitchfork Paris, SF Jazz, All Tomorrow’s Parties, and Grand Performances. They have been featured on NPR (“hilarious, twisted, sophisticated, schleppy and sad all at once”) and as performers on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. This performance marks Ethan Lipton & His Orchestra’s Lincoln Center debut.
