Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Ukrainian Film Club of Columbia University will screen the second installment of the new documentary series Culture vs. War. It is a collection of six documentary shorts united by one theme: how Ukrainian culture was transformed into a weapon to repel the brutal Russian aggression.

Additional Details

The three documentaries to be screened and discussed will feature the celebrated cinematographer Serhii Mykhalchuk, serving on the front line and documenting the war; actor and director Akhtem Seitablaiev; and photographers Vlada and Kostiantyn Liberov.

About The Performance

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Ukrainian Film Club of Columbia University will screen the second installment of the new documentary series “Culture vs. War.” It is a collection of six documentary shorts united by one theme: how Ukrainian culture was transformed into a weapon to repel the brutal Russian aggression. The three documentaries to be screened and discussed will feature the celebrated cinematographer Serhii Mykhalchuk, serving on the front line and documenting the war; actor and director Akhtem Seitablaiev; and photographers Vlada and Kostiantyn LiberovYuri Shevchuk, Director of the Ukrainian Film Club, will introduce the documentaries and hold the post-screening Q-and-A.
