Event Details

Lincoln Center’s Songwriter/Storyteller seeks to champion innovators of the singer-songwriter genre, celebrating the craft and artistry central to their work. Korean-Canadian multi-instrumentalist Luna Li cut her teeth in Toronto’s live music scene, ultimately winning over a legion of fans during the pandemic when she posted a series of soothing solo bedroom jams online.

Li first started playing piano at age five, and now plays violin, guitar, bass, drums, mini-harp, and flute, all of which appear throughout her Juno Award-nominated debut LP Duality, which also features guest appearances from Jay Som and beabadoobee. She has toured her "baroque pop" internationally, while opening for popular acts such as Japanese Breakfast and Wolf Alice. Her 2024 sophomore album, When a Thought Grows Wings, finds the artist in an expansive moment of growth, "more vulnerable, more layered, and even more intriguing." (Consequence of Sound).

Li will perform music from both previous releases and from her forthcoming third LP at her Lincoln Center debut.
