Event Details

Over the past 40 years, the Black Rock Coalition (BRC) has asserted every musician-of-color's right to creative freedom, irrespective of musical style. Today, the not-for-profit organization continues to build a devoted community of genre-expansive artists and kindred spirits.

Many musical giants—including Living Colour, Fishbone, Tamar-kali, Van Hunt, Sananda Maitreya, Stew and the Negro Problem, Imani Coppola, Fantastic Negrito, Burnt Sugar The Arkestra Chamber, The 1865, Sophia Ramos, David Ryan Harris, Militia Vox, and The Family Stand—appear on the BRC's Rock 'n' Roll Reparations compilation series.

For one night only, under the musical direction of guitar virtuoso Marcus Machado, the BRC will present an epic performance of the most powerful songs from Rock 'n' Roll Reparations to show what rocknroll+ can do in the hands of the artists whose people gave birth to it!
