About The Event
Brooklyn’s Mahogany L. Browne, a prolific writer and avid advocate for public art, is Lincoln Center’s inaugural poet-in-residence. Browne has written works of fiction, theater, critical essays, edited six anthologies, and authored another half-dozen poetry collections. For the newest season of her ongoing Seen. Sound. Scribe. series, set in The Underground stage at Jaffe Drive, Browne continues curating thought-provoking and politically driven evenings of spoken word, spirited conversation, alongside presentations of new work and fresh ideas. Each night’s program will feature talks and readings with established voices and rising stars of the literary world; the full lineup of performers and attendees will be announced shortly.
