About The Tapestry

Part of a series of seven tapestries depicting the Seven Deadly Sins, a favorite subject after Petrarch.
After a cartoon by Pieter Coecke van Aelst (1502-1550)
The tapestry has hung in the East Room of the Morgan Library since 1906.
