About This Event

Photojournalist Hannah Reyes Morales photographs with a tenderness that is felt in her images of those facing adversity, poverty, and inequalities. Based in Manila, Morales is dedicated to telling stories from her native country, especially those of survival and revealing bonds that tie us together. From her recent reporting on the rise of teen mothers in the Philippines to her moving project Roots from Ashes, where she photographed victims of horrific war crimes seventy-five years later at the sites of their abuse, Morales brings extreme care to working with the communities she enters. For this latest edition of ICP Talks: Lessons and Insights in Photography, Hannah will talk about her most recent projects and share insights into how she creates safe spaces when photographing.
