About The Performance

Musing(s) is an experiential, interactive soundscape installation conceived and curated by Lincoln Center’s inaugural poet-in-residence, Mahogany L. Browne. The project is centered around the premise of poetry as therapy, both for its makers and its recipients. Musing(s) invites the audience to experience the artists’ state of mind in a variety of habitats and creative midpoints: considering and concluding; being and becoming; in motion and at rest; always striving for joy. Attendees and creators alike are asked to explore complex questions: how do we inhabit space when we know we are actively heard? Can synthesized encounters feel spontaneous? Can lyrical words facilitate true healing? Join us on a journey of self-discovery with a selection of guest poets and artists.
