About The Performance

The seamless flow of beautiful melodies, spirited rhythms, and colossal scale make Schubert’s Great Symphony one of the milestones of the Romantic period. Principal Bassoon Judith LeClair performs the World Premiere of Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Kevin Puts’s Bassoon Concerto. Florence Price drew her inspiration from African American rhythms in her Dances in the Canebreaks.
