6:00PM: Check in for the open mic list opens for all attendees with sign up onsite on a first come, first served basis
6:30PM: Performances begin with 3 minutes for each performer
8:00PM: End of performances

Some say a picture is worth 1,000 words. The Nuyorican Poets Café brings its iconic poetry events to ICP for a series of open-mics with a photographic twist! BYOP – Bring your own photo and visit to share your poetic take inspired by a photograph for a live audience.
PLEASE NOTE: This installment of “1,000 Words” will take place in ICP’s cafe while the galleries are closed for installation. Free to attend with registration in advance strongly recommended.
