About This Event

Inspired by the works of political activists Tupac Shakur, author of The Rose That Grew from Concrete, and his mother Afeni Shakur, we hope to welcome all Black New Yorkers who would like to share their experiences of Black love in NYC and Harlem through poetry, music, lyric, or speech. All are invited to learn, transform and share Black love on April 14th at 6:30PM-8PM on Zoom.

Although this is a poetry slam event, performers can also explore other types of art–Music, writing, etc.
